Just finished "Mead Mountain" by B.K. Dell. A great read. I felt as though I was entering into the heart and mind of each character. B. K. Dell does a beautiful job of depicting events, using his words like an artist would use a paintbrush. The Gospel is woven in seamlessly into a very believable narrative. Each page brought the question "what's going to happen next"? I couldn't put the book down. More than once, I was brought to tears. More than once I smiled with joy. Dell is a gifted writer. I wait with anticipation for the next page-turner that will come from his creative mind.
I feel this book is onr that genuinely shows the true nature of humankind. We all struggle with out beliefs and feel defeat and agony. Mead Mountain shows us we are not alone. God is always with us, loving us, and holding us in the palm of God's hand.
Gripping novel that gives great insight to the human condition and our faith in God. The way is narrow and few will find it...even if the mountain moves. I am an avid reader of Christian Fiction and was so excited to see this new book with 5 star reviews. I wasn't disappointed and will be sharing with friends. I'll be thinking about this one for a long time. Today, I plan to buy a mustard seed and tie a string around my finger.
Cry. The people in the book are so real. I think God had his hand on you when you wrote this book, it lets you know God is still in control of everything.
I loved the character of Rev. Ellison; his belief and trust in God and his willingness to act on what God told him to do in regards to the movement/removal of Mead Mountain. There will always be obstacles and skeptics in evidence when anyone is vocal about God's work. Hurting people do hurtful things in hopes, secretly, that someone will be willing to look beneath the facade they present to the world to ascertain their real need. I loved that the book tells of Christians weaknesses since we are still sinners in need of a savior. We just choose to acknowledge our sins/weaknesses and ask God's forgiveness and for help. Thanks to the author for this incredible story😅
Best Christian fiction I have read! The book is riveting, thought provoking, and relevant to today. I'm going to buy the hard copy because I want to pass it along to others.
Wonderful story of the same type of people one hears about everyday....maybe even are one. Folks fighting sin but not labelling it sin....it is just them stuck and too afraid to take hold of the answers they truly seek. God can and is working in their life if only......a mountain would move! Good read. Kept my interest. Likable characters who were well developed. Recommended read!
